Making deals out of all these leads...

I'm gonna make a confession here. We here at Burton Motors LTD don't follow up as regularly as we should, nor do we communicate as effectively as we can, with our potential customers. Shocking, I know.

With the addition of myself, Burton Motors LTD has doubled the size of the internet sales team, and we are actively looking to implement some sort of lead or customer management system, to make the most of all the leads we are receiving. As a computer nerd at heart, and a very recent college graduate, I have been doing a ton of research about the different options, but my lack of experience in the car business leaves me tentative to offer an opinion as to the best solution for my company.

We are looking for something that is fairly easy to use and can help us become better at following up with prospects. I have read that some of these CRM's practically require a full time employee to manage, and that just isn't possible with our current business model. I am curious as to what ILM's or CRM's some of you are using, and what your thoughts are of them.

Thanks for your time!

I too am currently conducting some research and working with my manager to help this situation (generating dealer Leads/and liquidity). If you do not mind me asking does your dealership buy or sell wholeslae cars from any Manheim Auctions (by chance)?

We do work with both Manheim and Adessa auctions.

I just started using Cobalt's LMCC program as my ILM tool. It is easy to use and you can set your Internet departments hours on it so that the automated first response email lets the customer know when you will be in the office toa answer their email.

Something that seems to be working for my dealership is a few things one a machine that is provided by Zimmerman called a Z track machine this is tracking my floor traffic and sold traffic, to follow along with that we are also using a CRM tool that is provided by them as well and it is intergraded with a phone management tool for incomming sales calls it drops the leads right into the crm so far its been great visit these two site. www.dealer.com and http://www.zimmerman.com/
